Cant wait to try this recipe. I use Durkees and regular mustard often and think I am going to try that mix for this recipe. Not so much a Dijon fan so how do you think this combo will work. It sounds delicious and with Football playoffs this will be perfect for wings and more.
Best honey mustard sauce I have ever had. I used to combine yellow mustard + honey and the sauce was good but strong and thick not at all like I was hoping. The paring it down with mayo + the cayenne really are what make this recipe a stand out. Thanks for a great sauce recipe.

Our homemade honey mustard sauce is quick and easy and calls on simple pantry staples. You can make this delicious sauce in five minutes or less. We love the combination of mayonnaise and sour cream. The mayo is rich, and the sour cream lightens the flavors of the honey mustard. If you do not have both, use what you have. This sauce is still quite delicious when made with just mayonnaise only and even when made with just sour cream.
There is only one step to this honey mustard sauce! Just combine all of the ingredients (1/2 cup mayonnaise, 1 Tbsp Dijon mustard, 1 Tbsp yellow mustard, 3 Tbsp honey, 1 tsp apple cider vinegar, 1/8 tsp garlic powder, 1/8 tsp paprika, 1/8 tsp salt, and some freshly cracked pepper) in a bowl and whisk or stir until smooth.

Good recipe and a snap to make. We used it to dress a salad of mixed greens, sweet radishes, feta cheese, and Evercrisp apple thin pieces.Suggestion: Add honey to vinegar in jar first and stir to dissolve honey, including reside on measuring spoon. Then add other ingredients to the (honeyed) vinegar in the jar.
First, combine the mustard with the vinegar in a bowl. Next, add and combine the honey with the mustard and vinegar combination. Finally, stir in the mayonnaise and season with salt and black pepper, to taste.
Just made this and it was delicious! Definitely a recipe I will go to time and again! I accidentally forgot to put the garlic in and it was fantastic. I may just omit garlic from the recipe as it was so good!
I absolutely can not stand mustard either, I mean I despise it, however I love this dressing! I use a honey mustard, (like KENs brand which you can find just about anywhere) it has a far less bitter and pungent flavor profile than a regular mustard!
Mind blown! Who needs mayo?? I would never guess it was made with yogurt. I initially forgot to add the honey (duh) and I still thought it tasted darn good! As such, I decided to only add 1.5 tablespoons of honey and it was perfect. Thank you Kate!
I just made this with non-fat greek yogurt, decreased honey by 2 tbsp and decreased olive oil by 2 tbsp. It was a little tart with the vinegar so I added in 2 tsp sugar. Next time I would leave out the vinegar. My calories calculate to 55 calories per 2 Tbsp.
Nagi, I love the honey mustard dressing, and make it quite often.I land up making my dressings in old Vegemite jars, and have been wondering where you get those jars from, they look lovely.
I have been stepping my wing game up lately! It is football season and with college bowl games and NFL playoffs coming up, you can bet I will be grabbing some of this honey mustard sauce for my chicken wings! The Seahawks are the #1 seed in the NFL and in this house, we celebrate by air frying up a huge batch of crispy wings and that air fryer works overtime to serve up wings throughout the entire game. I always have a variety of sauces for my wings, but this honey mustard sauce is a must, every time!
I love this a creamy, tangy sauce. The sweetness of the honey, the boldness of the dijon mustard, and the buttery creaminess from the healthy portion of butter. Plus, it is very versatile and can be used in many different ways. Keep reading below to see other recipes this sauce goes well with.
PULLED PORK! Probably my favorite thing to cook for a large BBQ gathering. Smoked pork butt is so much fun because there are so many ways to prepare it. In this recipe for pulled smoked pork butt (shoulder), I inject the huge piece of meat with a marinade and smoke it for over 12 hours on charcoal and hardwood. Add this honey mustard sauce as one of the sauce options at your party!
It is the holiday season so I have eaten LOTS of turkey lately. I recently made a wet brined Traeger smoked turkey and had some of this honey mustard sauce to go along with it, so good!
Any refined honey will contain HMF already, so if you are using raw honey then heating it up is certainly going to introduce HMF. However, this recipe only cooks the honey for long enough to dissolve the honey, so it is unlikely that any HMF will form, or at least it will be minimal.

While adding hot sauce to the recipe can be tempting the results ranged from wonderful or downright horrendous. It really depended on the mustard and the hot sauce combo. I find the gentle heat of cayenne pepper to always be a winner. You can scale back or up the pepper for your desired heat level.
